Recording Session Experience
Several times a year Drumology along with a Recording Engineer hosts a recording event that enables students to experience live recording. As well as playing live shows, drummers are often required to record drum tracks for other musicians, artists, producers & record companies.
So here is your opportunity to experience being a session drummer and record up to 3 songs and take home your recorded music. The 1 hour session will enable you to experience how a working studio operates & how prepared you must be to record.
You can choose to record any of the following:
GRADE SONGS
Those students who are about to sit their Grade Exam may wish to record their chosen grade songs, including Hot Rock Tracks, in preparation for the exam, or record them just for fun.
KARAOKE-VERSION
This is a website that has 100’s & 100’s of downloadable songs without drums that we can use for recording. Visit karaoke-version.co.uk, click on the “Drums” tab at the top & search for your chosen song. You can hear a demo of the song with & without drums. All the tracks are covers of the originals & come with vocals. To help you learn the song, Drumology will provide the written score for your choice.
